Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Plain English, no surprises.

dIKta.me is a voice dictation engine for Windows. These terms govern your use of the software and the dikta.me website.

License

dIKta.me is MIT licensed open source software. You are free to use, modify, and distribute it. The Full Version unlocks local AI providers and BYOK in the official installer.

The free tier provides access to cloud-powered features via wallet credits. Credits are non-transferable.

Pricing & Payments

The Full Version is a one-time purchase. No subscriptions, no recurring fees. The price may change for future versions, but your purchase covers the version you buy.

Wallet credits for cloud features (Deepgram STT, Gemini LLM) are purchased separately and consumed on a pay-as-you-go basis. Credits do not expire but are non-refundable.

Privacy

Your privacy is core to dIKta.me. The desktop app does not collect telemetry or transmit data unless you opt into cloud features. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Disclaimer

dIKta.me is provided "as is". While we strive for accuracy and reliability, voice recognition and AI processing may produce incorrect results. The software is not suitable for medical, legal, or safety-critical transcription without human review.

Support & Updates

Updates are provided at the developer's discretion. Bug fixes and security patches are prioritized. Feature requests can be submitted through GitHub issues.

Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse cloud services or violate these terms.
